Antarctica is a place that means a lot to me.
In December 2019, I was still a newcomer to society who had just graduated. I was like a blank piece of paper, thinking about what goals I must pursue in life. At the moment of confusion, I embarked on a solo trip to South America. One of the most anticipated journey was to Antarctica, Earth's last untouched land.
During the journey, I saw thousands of penguins and wild animals with my own eyes. I traversed magnificent straits and icebergs. I hiked on glaciers that have been formed since hundreds of billions of years. I dived and kayaked in the polar regions... These incomparable landscapes and experiences deeply shocked me and made me marvel at mother nature. I understood the precious and fragile nature of polar ecology, and felt the insignificance of life and time... In my heart, I secretly feel Antarctica is a place that people must visit once in their lives. Moreover, I even met good friends who inspired me and encouraged me to pursue what I like.
After returning to Hong Kong, I quitted my job as a civil engineer and started a career as a content creator. I made this travel experience into a travel log and put it on my YouTube channel. In addition to recording the journey, I also shared more travel experiences with viewers who are interested in traveling to Latin America and Antarctica. Especially when I planned my journey, I found that there are not many travel guides available on the Internet, especially on Antarctica.
