"I'm thankful to have the LGA as my gatekeeper to make my journey a memorable one."
Belated Review!
Antarctica is an extreme experience everyone must experience at least once in their lifetime. It always seemed so far away, especially considering the dozens of hours of round-trip flight time.
It was truly fate that I came across LGA's Instagram page. Its collection of posts covering a variety of topics and perspectives unlocked the mysteries of Antarctica for me, sparking my desire to explore while I was still young. Following LGA's page was a crucial step in embarking on my Antarctic journey. Whether it was knowledge-based content or reposting stories of other Hong Kongers' Antarctic journeys, it only intensified my yearning for this continent.
The final straw was one of those stories. I saw an offer from LGA sourced for a December departure during peak season, on a recently-wrecked vessel, and for a price that was more affordable than my budget. It felt like all the stars aligned. After discussing it with my partner, we quickly made the decision to book, ending a long, but increasingly exciting, six-month wait.
There are a few people who really want to praise the LGA team:
• Ample follow-up – From paying the installation fee for the second ferry ticket to the moments before flying to Argentina and boarding the ship, the team kept in touch with me constantly. I felt very cared for.
• Responsive responses – for example, LGA addressed all aspects of Antarctic travel, including travel insurance and packing tips.
• The most important part was the arrangement of optional activities with the same cruise line – this time we were able to experience ice camping, thankfully LGA helped us pre-book the activity. Many other passengers' agencies didn't do this for them, resulting in a lottery system for whether they could experience it. This was a huge plus, and we are grateful to LGA for overseeing the process, making our trip unforgettable.
I highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Antarctica to check out LGA's page. Booking an Antarctic trip through LGA was a smart move that made our trip a complete and cost-effective one.
